Mike Killam has been a member of the Wrestlezone news and editorial crew since 2011. He has been a wrestling fan for nearly 20 years, and sites one of the worst shows in the history of pay-per-view, WCW Souled Out '97, as his very first taste of what would become a lifelong obsession.
Mike was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago, IL until attending University in central Michigan, and in 2016 returned from a four-year stay in the wonderfully strange Pacific Northwest city of Portland, Oregon.
All his life Mike has had two consistent passions: professional wrestling and film. As early as the sixth grade he was spacing out in classes, filling notebook after notebook with custom WWE Smackdown storylines and scripted promos, while scouring the VHS racks at local video rentals for movies to review, which would occasionally make their way into hand-written newsletters penned without an audience. His earliest inspirations/fascinations were an eclectic combination of John Wayne, Robert Redford, Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Ultimo Dragon, and Kurt Angle.
