Thank God For The Wisdom of Kevin Nash

What Nash should have tweeted…

@theGAD (Gospel according to Diesel) “LOL’ed at Miz and I know what I want now more than ever. One chance to beat the holy hell out of the New Champ. I’d work Mania for free if Vince makes this happens. But I want my parking validated for the Georgia Dome. And I need to get home early because I can’t stay up as late as I used to. This is the Gospel According to Diesel”

“Putting anyone over” is not in Kevin Nash’s vocabulary or job description as “wrestling curmudgeon”. But it’s a good thing that Nash has lots of time to watch Clint Eastwood movies. Other recommendations for any fan of Clint include “Million Dollar Baby”, “Unforgiven” and “Any Which Way But Loose”. Maybe he can tweet some reviews…

But Nash should be smart enough to know that Vince loves Miz and for the time being, he is on top. Sure, once Hunter gets back, Miz can start waxing his back on the canvas for the Game but for the moment, he’s the man. Also, we can now stop knocking Vince and the WWE for his “big man fetish”. Another reason why Nash doesn’t have to keep a bag packed, waiting for Vince’s call.

At one time, the Miz was a joke… a reality show scum who everyone thought would try to make a mockery of the business, but soon would quit and wind up on “Celebrity Douchebags on Ice”. But he cared. He cared about the business and worked his ass off to get good. Small steps along the way but consistent progress. We never heard bad reports about Miz, kept out of trouble or at least stayed way on the “down low” and navigated the tenuous political waters with the skill of a veteran.

Is he the second coming of Austin or the Rock? No but this is 2010 and in the PG world of the WWE, Miz fits the role just fine. He recites his lines, doesn’t drop spots and remembers the little things that make Vince happy. But that takes hard work. Something Nash never, ever did.
