Nick’s Picks: WWE’s 2009 Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV

Nick Paglino

Randy Orton vs Kofi Kingston: This a match that has some excellent story telling behind it, and the push of Kofi Kingston has been expertly complimented by the work of Randy Orton in putting over the young star. Orton finds himself in a bit of a dilemma right now as he can’t challenge for the WWE Championship as long as Cena is the champ, and if Sheamus wins tonight I doubt very highly that we would see an Orton/Sheamus title match. So I think Orton is going to be hanging around the upper-mid card for awhile, and therefore I don’t expect his feud with Kingston to end tonight. The Royal Rumble, or maybe even the Raw show that is going head-to-head with TNA in January, seems like a more appropriate place to blow this angle off, so I predict Orton is going to get the win tonight. Kofi has gotten the better of Randy Orton many times since this feud began, so I think it’s important for Orton to get a clean win tonight to remind the fans that he is in fact a former champion and still deserves to be.

Nick’s Pick: Randy Orton

Who Should Win: Randy Orton
