Traditional Elimination Tag Team Match: Team Kofi vs Team Orton: This was a fantastic match, and birthed a main event player in Kofi Kingston. Additionally, it put over CM Punk in a way that he hasn’t been put over in awhile, and that is as one of the company’s top heels. Randy Orton continues to shine in his role as the top heel in the company who is ready and willing to put over new talent such as Kofi Kingston, and in total, this was an all around quintessential Survivor Series elimination match. The pre-match banter between Christian and the "non-Canadians" was hysterical and well done, and it put the team over as a cohesive unit. Speaking of Christian, he was someone I thought WWE would overlook in this match, but on the contrary he held his own very well and came out of the bout looking like a champion. Again, and I blame time, if someone had to come out looking weak in this match, it was sadly, and continually, MVP. There’s someone in the back who has apparently injected this guy with the "Mr. Kennedy syndrome," and WWE is just not allowing him to take a step up. He did little to nothing in the match last night, and his elimination made it seem like he had no business even being on Team Kofi. I also didn’t like how quickly R-Truth was put to pasture last night. The work between him and Punk on Smackdown this past week was the highlight of the show for me, and I am very intrigued by where a budding feud between Truth and Punk could lead, so I didn’t like the fact that when it came down to both of them in the ring, WWE booked their encounter to look like Truth isn’t even in the same league as Punk. It was a brief moment, and Truth can bounce back from it easily, but I hope what we saw was not a foreshadowing of how this feud may play out between the two young stars. Aside from that, however, the main players in the bout last night were showcased well, and WWE hit a grand slam in making Kingston look like a true star on Raw. 8 Stars.
