Title This: WWE Superstars Reaction 9-1-2011

John Morrison vs. R Truth Review:

Truth gains the offensive, hitting clotheslines and a hip toss. Morrison counter and takes down Truth for a two count. Morrison works in the corner to slow down Truth. Both men go back and forth, until Morrison is able to hit a spinning leg drop onto Truth. He gets only a two count. We get back from commercial, and Truth hits a front suplex onto Morrison. He locks in a headlock until Morrison can gain steam and hit a spinning splash onto Truth. Morrison misses a knee, but hits a neckbreaker onto Truth. He gets another two count and looks frustrated. Truth hits a suplex type stunner onto Morrison, but gets a two count. R Truth sets Morrison on the top turnbuckle, pounds away at his neck, but Morrison battles back. He tries for Starship Pain, but Truth gets his knees up. Truth hits his Little Jimmy, which is the name of his finisher for the victory.

Reaction:

I do not know how I feel about the ending. Neither of these guys are going far on Raw currently, and need their less than exciting feud to end once and for all. I feel like they continue to put these two guys together for matches just because they can work well. The match was great, but I am tired of this pairing. I hope this, once and for all, ends the feud. Truth winning shows they continue to bury Morrison even on Superstars. I liked the timing and the  essence of the match, with a lot of back and forth momentum. I was not sure who was going to win, so when Truth won, I was surprised. This segment gets a B.

Overall

WWE Superstars was only 3 matches long, but consisted of Morrison and Truth going close to fifteen minutes. We got matches that highlighted the younger and more talented superstars, not just guys who need some work in the ring. All of these superstars on the show know how to work, and, with the exception of Jackson, are limitless in what they can do. I could have gone without the history lesson of Morrison/Truth, as well as the recap of Triple H and Punk, but I understand why they did it. This show consists of quality wrestling, with not much of a storyline build whatsoever. Overall, WWE Superstars gets a B-.
