Knockouts Championship Winter vs. Mickie James Review:

Mickie and Winter tangle in the corner to start it off. They lock up and Mickie takes her down with a hip toss. We see some submission tactics from James to ground Winter. They exchange offensive moves. Mickie hits a hurricanranna. Angelina gets on the ropes, but James knocks her off. We go back and forth, as Angelina tries to interject herself in the match. Mickie grabs Winter’s hair and throw her face first in the mat. Winter hits a DDT, but Mickie gets up to reverse her and takes her down with a kick. Winter hits another move, gets upset after a two count, and James hits a kick to the back of the head for the win, and the KO Championship.

Reaction:

This was not a bad Knockouts match, as both women worked well together at most points in the match. You see the raw talent of Winter react with the natural abilities of James. We have seen James like this before, and she continues to be solid in the ring, with little mistakes. The title change was a nice mix in the pace of the night, with a surprise in what was a basic, solid wrestling show so far. This segment gets a B.

In Ring Segment Review:

Matt Morgan and Samoa Joe get into a brawl after Morgan calls him out. The ref is knocked out, and they all out brawl in and out of the ring. Joe hits a low blow and hits him with a steel chair. He smashes the shoulder of Morgan between the ring post and shoulder. He yells “I told you, I told you”

Robbie E talks to Rob Terry about being his bodyguard. Eric Young challanges Robbie E for the TV Title next week.

AJ Styles goes up to Christopher Daniels and talks about their match

Reaction:

Physicality and aggression are shown with Morgan and Joe, but I still do not buy Joe being able to dominate the muscular and stronger Morgan. Unrealistic to me. Robbie E needs a new mix, and Terry is desperate for time and more than a big build. I like the body guard gimmick for him. AJ Styles and Daniels are friends off TV, and you can tell the real respect for one another, even with a script.

Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles Review:

Styles tries to roll him up quickly, and they begin to battle back and forth. Daniels backs Styles into a corner and body slams him off the ropes. Styles then hits Daniels into the corner, hits a vertical suplex, but Daniels kicks out. AJ gets knocked outside of the ring. Daniels gets his dive reversed, as AJ jumps onto Daniels. Both men get back in the ring, and AJ works his submission deathlock on Daniels. Daniels tries to get some offense in, but Styles hits a back breaker, followed by a gutbuster. Daniels reverses a suplex and hits a few moves, like a STO and a dropkick. Both men battle in the ring with chops to the chest. Pele kick by AJ hits Daniels. AJ and Daniels reverses their attempted finishers. AJ kicks Daniels and tries to go up top, only to fall to the mat. Daniels quickly covers him for the win. Daniels does not shake AJ’s hand after the match.

Reaction:

A great match with an ending that I disliked. They put on a clinic with one another and I would grade it an A, but the ended seemed ridiculous and just did not want a clean win to continue the feud. This appeared to be the payoff match, but it was a great match with continues battles inside the ring, excellent athletic counters, and finished with an ending of “Oops.” We understand you want to continue the feud, but a controversial pin or something else would have worked better. It made Daniels’ win cheap and not earned. This segment gets a B. Give me a more believable ending, please.
