What’s NOT Bothering Me (In Professional Wrestling)

WrestleMania Anticipation

After the disaster they produced on Monday, it would be contradictory of me to praise WWE too much right now.  However, even as chaotic and all-over-the-place as WWE programming has been in recent months, WrestleMania still has hope.

There's plenty of time for Vince to get his shit together by April.

All of the dropped storylines (Raw GM?), the confusing storylines (Nash texted Nash!?), the rushed storylines (Punk, Miz/Truth), the burials (Del Rio), the meaningless title changes…I'm going to roll all of them up into a ball and call it a fluke.  A two-month long and going strong fluke ball!

We reported on WrestleZone today that Vince already has plans in place all the way up to WrestleMania 28.  "Tentative" plans, sure, but that's still promising, right?  Maybe – JUST maybe – Vince truly is a genius and all of this recent craziness is part of his master plan.  He wants to give us SO much crap right now, that all the good stuff coming later seems even better!

Okay George, I'll take the Golden Gate for free.  (If you got that reference, I've got a 1987 country album with your name on it.)

In all seriousness, I am very much anticipating 'Mania in Miami next year.  I don't like Daniel Bryan being a shoe in for one of the two World Championships already, but I can get over that.  Cena/Rock – can't wait.  CM Punk vs. ??? – won't matter who it is if they get back on track with Punk's mega-push.  Taker streak has some interesting candidates being discussed.  By that time, the soon-to-be faction of Miz, Truth, Nash, and others should be developed fully.  Vince should be back.

Hope is all we can hope for right now.  The roulette wheel has hit consecutive reds for two damn months – there's a black coming, damn it!  Meaning: for all the bad WWE has given us lately, there's bound to be good coming.

I'll be the one over here holding my breath.
