The Cashbox: First Edition of “The Pulse” Featuring Mick Foley

TOPIC #4: NBA Commissioner, David Stern, has already canceled the first two weeks of regular season basketball due to the lockout and the inability of the owners and players union to reach a new collective bargaining agreement.

Mick Foley: "Is the NBA really going to cancel a season over a 3% disagreement? I think it's the difference between 50% and 53%. In this economy, I think the players should have left well enough alone."

TOPIC #5: After publicly stating that he didn't feel Robert Roode was ready to be the next TNA World Champion, Hulk Hogan reportedly lobbied against Roode winning the Championship at Sunday's Bound For Glory pay per view.  According to sources, the initial plan as of Sunday afternoon was for Roode to win the title at BFG, but Hogan's arguments against it won over Dixie Carter and the decision makers.  New reports now indicate that several TNA superstars are upset with the decision to have Angle go over in the bout, especially considering that Hulk Hogan had such a big hand in swaying the creative team at the last moment.

Mick Foley: "I don't have any real insight into the Bobby Roode situation, and honestly, haven't kept up enough with Impact to know whether it was his time or not. But as Mr Miyagi said – "stay on one side of the raod, fine. Stay on the other, fine. But stand in the middle, you get squashed like grape. You either go with a guy or you don't. It sounds to me like Bobby Roode was left hanging in the middle of the road."
