Before I state the three things in professional wrestling I "like" this week, there was one thing that definitely bothered me in pro wrestling. The ending to Raw was horrible, albeit par for the course it seems. I'm not sure why WWE refuses to allow Miz and Truth even a chance to get some of their heat back.
The Miz comes out at the beginning of the show Monday to tell Cena that he and Truth will never be owned like they were just a week prior. What they were going to do to Cena that night was just a taste of what they'd do to him and Rock at Survivor Series. Great, in theory.
Miz sneaks the pinfall during their match later that night while Truth holds Cena's leg from the outside. That's the best they could come up with to get a little heat back on them heading into Survivor Series!? To make matters worse, Cena's standing in the ring smiling (more like smirking) to end the show as if it was nothing more than a fluke. It certainly appeared to be.
I am looking forward to Rock's return this week, but I'm afraid things will only get worse for Miz and Truth as a result of his appearance. Rock Bottom on one and Attitude Adjustment on the other to end the show – that's what I'm guessing. Rock and Cena are the priority right now and Awesome Truth is a mere footnote.
Sad, too. They are capable of much more.
