Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. C.M. Punk for the WWE Championship:
What I Liked:
Match of the night. I loved how Del Rio and Punk had great chemistry in the ring. Both guys are impressive and sound in their craft. Del Rio is great, but Punk is a notch better when executing moves. How great was the combination and mixture of submission holds with physicality and brawling aspect? Del Rio’s kick on Punk on the rope connected beautifully, while Punk was able to manuever in any angle. The timing was fantastic, the crowd was into it, and Punk winning with the Anaconda Vice was a good touch. Howard Finkle introducing C.M. Punk was classic, brought the “cool” aspect back, and made us believe that this was going to be a special night. It was for Punk. The crowd loved it, went ballistic, and having Punk dive into the crowd was awesome. It really was great to see something like that in a crowd that hostile on faces throughout the night. Punk is not your typical face though.
What I Disliked:
The continued usage of Ricardo on the outside. We should have had zero interferences between these two, focusing solely on the competitors and no outside interference. I wish this match was a submission match, as we all know that is what these guys are perfect at. Either way, it was a great match from bell to bell.
