Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton:
What I Liked:
Solid pace in this match, with a great set of skills from Ziggler offensively. These guys are very similar, with great athletic abilities and an aggressive streak. I loved how they gave Ziggler the opportunity to carry the match, and he succeeded. Ziggler has a beautiful dropkick, and Orton hit a superplex that really excelled the match to another level. Orton and Ziggler go back and forth, pacing the match in every way. I really do not think Ziggler would have bad chemistry and bad timing with anyone, especially a veteran like Orton. I love his ego after the match, its refreshing.
What I Disliked:
The match gave us everything, and also gave us Barrett trying to interfere. Ziggler wins with the Zig Zag after the distraction. I wish he would have gotten a clean pin, but this was executed pretty well. It furthers Zigglers push, Barrett vs. Orton, and the young guys who deserve more time on TV. I just wish it was a clean win, solidifying Ziggler, but I assume that's what all heels have to do.
Michael Cole Interviews Daniel Bryan:
Bryan goes off on Cole, and talks about how earned his title match, and his briefcase. Cole says he can never respect Bryan for lying, and calls him a hippocrite.Cole says his dreams were shattered, and we go back to Smackdown. Bryan says plans change, and how Henry tried to end his career. Out comes Mark Henry, who talks about Bryan being a joke. He goes on to say Daniel Bryan cannot beat Mark Henry. Bryan kicks Henry's leg, and says he will see him tomorrow night.
I enjoyed this segment to boost the Smackdown Holiday Special tomorrow. It boosted the main event and gave good exposure to Bryan, who desperately needs it. It did not waste too much time, showcased two major players on Smackdown. I give this a B.
