Stars In Progress: Brock Lesnar, Injuries, Knockouts & More

Randy Orton/Alberto Del Rio
One Step Up, One Step Down

I think the injury suffered by Alberto Del Rio could end up being the best thing for him. I don't wish injuries on any wrestler ever, but the results can sometimes benefit the individual in the long run. I think it will in Del Rio's case.

Randy Orton's injury is a different story completely. First of all, six MONTHS is entirely too long. WrestleMania is sure to miss him as well. Most importantly, Smackdown and its stars will suffer with Orton being on the shelf for so long. I don't think he's given enough credit for his contributions to that show.

Del Rio can't see in-ring action, but he'll remain involved on Raw each week, whereas Orton will take some time off due to his injury. I actually see this as a potential positive for ADR as he'll be able to use the wheelchair gimmick to his advantage. There's no question though that Orton's injury is one giant step down all the way around.
