Title This: WWE Raw Reaction 1-23-12

R Truth def. The Miz:

What I Liked:

This was a solid time to put this match on Raw, right before a meaningful PPV.  The match was more of a brawl, more of a personal fight. I loved how they were not technical in the match, more of a confrontation that was building up for some time. Truth winning was huge, because I can see Miz going very far in the match. He is a guy that will continue to hang around, and potentially surprise a few people when he is in the final four.

What I Disliked:

The feud in general. It just does not seem to click to everyone, especially since we were fed heel Truth for months. He quickly flips the switch. This could be better and more creative if the Miz was a face. We need to see more of him in different ways, especially since after WrestleMania he has been irrelavent for the better part of the year.

John Laurinitis is backstage, as David Otunga enters. He gives John a note, and he looks upset.

Laurinitis comes out and says the letter is from the Board of Directors. Otunga reads the note, and says Laurinitis as GM is being under review, and next week Triple H will address Laurinitis. Punk is happy because he says that he can do whatever he wants to Laurinitis now, and he will not be able to screw him at Royal Rumble. If he does, Punk says Laurinitis will hear "You're Fired." Otunga and Punk brawl for a bit until he makes Otunga tap out. Otunga gets up, Punk kicks him in the head and sends him to the outside. Now, we have Punk and Laurinitis. Punk hits a GTS on Laurinitis. He stands over top of him, yells, but Dolph Ziggler comes out and hits Zig Zag on Punk. Ziggler stands tall as Raw ends.

What I Liked:

A slow ending that ended with a lot to come out of it. Triple H returns next week, as well as Laurinitis' status in limbo. It is about time they make this part of the angle happen, especially since he is an Interim GM of Raw. Punk finally got his hands on Johnny, but it was perfect to see Ziggler come out and remind us that HE not Laurnitis is the guy Punk is facing on Sunday in St. Louis. I absolutely loved how he got the victory, and one upped Punk once again. This makes us intrigued with what is going to happen, and hopefully the angle was built enough for people to want to buy it. I loved the ending, even though Otunga and Laurinitis somehwat slowed down the process of the whole point.  Does anyone give Ziggler a chance this Sunday to walk away with the WWE Championship?
