Title This: 2012 WWE Elimination Chamber Reaction

Beth PhoenixBeth Phoenix def. Tamina to retain the Divas Championship:

What I Liked:

A pairing of believable opponents. Finally, a diva who has strength and size gets to face off against Beth. The match featured some good spots, including a big tease after Tamina connected with the splash from the top. She held her own in this match. Phoenix's Glam Slam hit picture perfect, and was good timing because of her lack of offense in most of the match.

What I Disliked:

This would have been ideal for Beth to cut a promo about beating everyone. Kharma needs to face Phoenix at WM because that would peak interest and is the only interesting match we could see that we have not seen before. This match, though, lacked athleticism for the most part. It did not pick up the pace at any given point, but felt like they were going through the motions. It could have been much better in terms of physicality. Let the Divas work on the outside, add something different to Beth's offense. I do not want the same old Divas match every month, and I felt this was the same.

Grade: C

In Ring Segment:

John Laurinaitis comes out with Otunga. He talks about Teddy Long and how he should be held to the same standards he is. He talks about wanting to be the GM on both Raw and Smackdown. Alberto Del Rio comes out to the ring and says he supports John. He talks about Teddy being biased, and goes on. Mark Henry comes out and complains about being suspended by Long. He says he is a bully, and that John should be the GM of Smackdown. Lastly, Christian comes out. He talks about not be treated right when injured and that he was a liability when fighting. He says Long should be replaced by Laurinaitis. They shake hands, take a picture and leave.

This was a time filler, no doubt. There was not a huge announcement, but a way to show off 3 heels who are coming back. I would have rather seen one of them attack somebody else in the Elimination Chamber match, give them an immediate feud to work with upon return. I did not like this segment. It did not progress anything. All I can think of is a 6 man tag match with these three against three of Long's guys at WrestleMania. The team that wins will get Long or Laurinaitis a Raw GM spot? Who knows what they are thinking here. C-
