Cody Rhodes vs. The Big Show for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

This one could go one of two ways. Either WWE plays the sympathy card and gives Show the title win since he only held the World Title for about a minute after defeating Mark Henry, or they continue with the great title reign that Cody Rhodes has enjoyed thus far. What does WWE really accomplish with a Big Show IC Title win? I think very little. Whereas Rhodes is a credible, up-and-coming top guy, who benefits much more from holding the belt. My pick is Rhodes in this one.

Justin LaBar:

No reason for Cody Rhodes not to retain. It's the first IC title match at WrestleMania in 3 years. Big Show has nothing to gain from winning this.

Josh Isenberg:

Another clean sweep here for everyone. Rhodes needs this to keep his heat alive. I do feel he will somehow cheat to win so Big Show does not look terribly weak. There is no point for Show to win the IC title because he is a guy like Kane where he does not benefit from any title besides the World Title. This match, from what I hope, will be given enough time, and potentially have some sort of outside involvement. Does Big Show get screwed over by someone? I can easily see that happening, but Rhodes needs to win this match to solidify and continue his reign as champion.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
