Pay-Per-Review: Breaking Down WWE WrestleMania 28

CM PunkPUNK RETAINS OVER JERICHO

They tried. And it was admirable.

CM Punk and Chris Jericho were fighting a losing battle from the beginning. Even with the time in between, they really had no chance of competing with the spectacle that was HIAC. The fans simply couldn't recover in time.

I give Punk and Jericho a ton of credit, though. The live Miami crowd may have been quiet for most of the match, but the two superstars did their job. They made the crowd react by the end.

Jericho tweeted that "the better man won" last night and that it was time for him to move on. I'm not buying it for a second. These two will get a mulligan and that do-over will likely start tonight on Raw. Without Rock/Cena and Taker/HHH, Jericho and Punk will have the ability to showcase their talents once again. The right way.

I fully expect a rematch at Extreme Rules.
