What’s Bothering Me: Angle Lies, Bryan’s Ceiling, Bischoff

It's time to take a look at what's bothering us in pro wrestling this week. Thanks to all who sent in their contributions for this feature on my Twitter page. Wrestling has given us plenty to discuss lately and I've had a blast debating it with you fine folks. No sarcasm, even.

#3. Let's Build Around Garett Bischoff!

He's the future of the company, you know. Actually, he's the future of the business!

I really don't want to hate on a young gun trying to make it in the wrestling business. I respect Garett Bischoff for following his father into a business that said father advised him against entering. He's chasing a dream and that's admirable.

I don't fault him; I fault TNA management.

Scott Steiner is taking TNA to task on Twitter and while I think a lot of what he's saying is for publicity and relevance, his feelings seem to stem from some sort of truth. And I agree that the idea of pushing Garett Bischoff so heavily, so quickly, is ludicrous.

The Bischoff/Hogan dynamic is worn out. They're friends, then they hate each other, then they're friends, repeat, so on and so forth. Who cares anymore? 75% of the fanbase is still aware they are real-life buddies and business partners.

Acknowledging Garett's relationship with his father to this degree, and THEN pushing him this heavily, simply sets him up for resentment by just about everyone. Give him a real shot to succeed and work him up the ladder the right way.

The coach's son always has to work harder to earn respect. Fair or unfair, it's the way it is in life.
