Vince McMahon ReturningVINCE McMAHON – ONE STEP UP

He's been off TV for a while, so he gets a step up due to anticipation alone.

Vince McMahon is one hell of a wrestling character. Has been one ever since he screwed over Bret Hart and morphed into this evil, arrogant control freak that abuses his power and gets what he deserves in the end. It's effective and no one does it better.

That being said, he decided to take a step back and put Johnny Ace in his place. If push came to shove, and I had to choose between the two, I'm sure it would be Vince, still today. However, I want to see Laurinaitis continue his reign as GM and Vince's return tomorrow night be dedicated toward putting that over further.

I'm tired of the multiple authority figures. Get rid of the COO, get rid of the Board of Directors, quit with all the evaluations, and simply let Johnny be "The Man" for a while. Let's see what he can really do.

Personally, I think he's capable of MUCH more, but it's going to take a complete rub from Vince, on and off camera.

We've seen Vince come back and be the good guy to Johnny's bad. Now, let's see Vince come out to his expected pop and, just when you think he's going to put his successor in his place, he smiles that evil smile and hugs him. The dialogue is unneccessary in this forum, as long as it includes Vince praising Johnny in some exuberant fashion and telling him to keep up the good work. A verbal blessing.

The bottom line is if WWE plans to keep John Laurinaitis around, especially in some form of power, they must quit undermining his authority. Fans need to be able to take him seriously and if his job is in constant jeopardy, they won't.

They'll eventually stop caring at all.

FIRST, put him over. THEN, he'll be able to put others over, properly.
