Will Money in the Bank Be Successful in 2012?

WWE Money in the BankWhat a complete shock to see guys like Tensai, Santino Marella, Tyson Kidd, and Damien Sandow in the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match. None of these men have even had a legit feud over the past couple of months. To contradict my previous points on the last page, none of these guys really DESERVE to be in the match. There is no knock against their talent, but creative has not given us enough of a reason to invest our time into them.

I love Damien Sandow, but the timing is not right for him. I would much rather him build up in the mid card division, competing with a veteran like Christian. Tensai is what he is, a big guy who the company has lost interest in. Tyson Kidd is excellent in the ring, but has not been given a chance to do more. Since he broke apart with the Hart Dynasty, he has not done much on television. Santino is a comedy bit, and nothing more. Even so, it creates some intrigue to the casual fan. I would give Kidd and Sandow time on Raw. Expose them to fans who do not tune in Friday Nights.

Reports are speculating that four more guys will be involved in this match, making it 9 total. I expect Cody Rhodes, David Otunga, and potentially Wade Barrett to enter this match. There needs to be SOME sort of star power to intrigue the crowd. We all knew a year ago that Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, and Sin Cara would not win. Do we really think that the WWE brass will give that briefcase to Santino or Kidd? You can tell how much they really care about the World Heavyweight Championship at the current stage. Even after all of these lacks in logic, this match has been built as "unpredictable." The WWE has been very predictable since the end of Wrestlemania, so this is something different.
