Title This: 2012 WWE Money in the Bank Reaction

Josh Isenberg

CM PunkCM Punk def. Daniel Bryan

What I Liked:

What can you say about the abilities of these two bonafide stars? The comparisons are fantastic, and Daniel Bryan really impressses me each match he participates in. The aggression from Bryan has evolved into something great. He has the facial expressions with each kick, each motion in the ring. The great thing with Bryan and Punk is timing. They know when to pick up the pace and when to slow things down. There was an excellent combination of speed and agility, but I was most impressed with their ability to take the action outside of the ring. How excellent was Bryan locking in th"Yes!"lock while having the Kendo Stick on Punk's face. AJ was taken out early, which allowed the story being told from the two men. She came back and then really was focusing on herself. I understood that. The end came when AJ teased both men by not letting them use a chair and a kendo stick. she was right down the middle, until she pinned punk after an excellent back suplex through the table. The ring work was fantastic, but I felt the whole match was complete in terms of action between Punk and Bryan. They gave us a little bit of everything here.

What I Disliked:

This should have ended the show, hands down. Also, wasnt the big angle about who AJ will help? Well, she did not help anyone and continued to confuse everyone. I really felt this would be the big angle for AJ, but it fell flat. They did nothing to resolve the biggest issue, the biggest angle, and the most confusing story they put together. Maybe they will wait until 1,000 Raw. I was annoyed by continuing AJ as the prime focal point. It is about time the title means more than a Divas.

Grade: A-

Ryback def. Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins

What I Liked

It was a smart idea to book Ryback over someone like Brodus Clay. Ryback showed a little more athleticism tonight than previous. He overcame a little more offense, but the ending was basically the same.

What I Disliked:

Whereis the logic or importance of any of these guys? Can we stop repeating ourselves?

Grade: C

Layla, Kaitlin, and Tamina def. Beth Phoenix, Natalya, and Eve

What I Liked:

Considering this was unadvertised, with no story or build whatsoever, and the Divas have not been used in any capacity recently, it was absolutely average. A few good spots, and was used as a bathroom break for the majority of people.

Grade: C
