Mt. Killamanjaro: TNA Hardcore Justice Preview & Predictions

Kid Kash & Gunner vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez

Chavo Guerrero makes his TNA debut, gets his first TNA PPV match and suddenly Gunner and Hernandez make their way back to television and Kid Kash is involved in an actual program? Like, a program with a real story? The whole world has gone mad…

Many have noted in the Wrestlezone Forums that at 41, Chavo’s best years are likely behind him. There have been guys to prove that statistic wrong, but the “Nature Boy” or “Heart Break Kid” Chavo is not! Still, he’s a solid addition to TNA’s midcard, and one that as we’ve seen, can get some use out of the non-players on the roster. Guys like Hernandez and Gunner who have been featured prominently in the past, who for whatever reason fell off the grid. That can be, and should be his role. I don’t want to see Chavo inch his way closer to the World Championship picture. I want to see Chavo right where he is: well above a bathroom break, but not quite a pay-to-see performer.

Prediction: Chavo & Hernandez go over

Bound for Glory Series – Falls Count Anywhere
Mr. Anderson vs. RVD vs. The Pope vs. Magnus

RVDThis match doesn’t matter. That’s not to say it isn’t going to be good, or that I’m not excited to see a referee try to count the falls of four guys all around the arena (seriously, a multi-man FCA match?), it just won’t matter at all in the long run. You might be able to make a case for Mr. Anderson winning the BFG Series. Maybe. The Pope and Magnus have less exposure in the tournament than Robbie E; that’s the end of that discussion.

Can you see any of these guys lacing up against Bobby Roode or Austin Aries at TNA’s biggest event of the year? So what this really comes down to is, who needs the immediate exposure? Who is going to go into a fairly high profile match at Bound for Glory, that could benefit from a big win, in a big stipulation match with a lot of points (that again, don’t matter) riding on the line? Logic dictates Anderson or RVD; my personal preference is Magnus. Murphy’s Law then says it must be The Pope…

Prediction: …RVD wins. Ken Anderson isn’t happy about it.

Knockout’s Championship

Miss Tessmacher (c) vs. Madison Rayne

Forget Earl Hebner. Forget Gail Kim, Brooke Hogan or anything else you think matters going into this match. This is all you need to know about how this Knockout’s Championship match SHOULD go down:

Madison Rayne or bust. And that’s all I have to say about that.

Prediction: Miss Tessmacher retains. Sadly.
