Mt. Killamanjaro: TNA Hardcore Justice Preview & Predictions

Bound for Glory Series – Tables Match

Jeff Hardy vs. James Storm vs. Bully Ray vs. Robbie E

Jeff hardyIs it even remotely possible that Robbie E could score the upset victory here? Unfortunately, yes. The simple fact that it would be a huge upset is enough for TNA to at least consider it… I cringed watching the Robbie’s put Jeff Hardy through a table last week on Impact. Still, it makes sense to offer them at least some sort of angle going into Hardcore Justice. Bully Ray and James Storm are in the midst of the likely the biggest program in TNA right now; Hardy needed something to give him a fighting chance in this match.

You would think that Aces & Eights will play some kind of role in this match. I still believe there’s a very strong possibility that Bully Ray is the one behind it all, sick and tired of not getting the respect he deserves. I also think James Storm will be in the main event of Bound for Glory. In fact:

PREDICTION TIME: The main event of Bound for Glory will be a 3-way match between Austin Aries, Bobby Roode and James Storm. I know the stipulation for tonight’s World Championship match all but negates this theory. I know it may seem like a 3-way takes away from the BFG Series altogether. I don’t know how they’re going to make it happen, but I’m going out on a limb right now to say that they will.

Back to the match at hand, you almost have to give this win to James Storm. That is, if they can resist the Robbie E upset, or the Jeff Hardy retribution angle. My opinion? Save that for a singles match at No Surrender – give Storm his win and send him to No Surrender against Kurt Angle or Samoa Joe.

Prediction: James Storm wins

Bound for Glory Series – Ladder Match
AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe

Kurt AngleThis should easily be TNA’s match of the year. Even with Styles and Daniels wrapped up in the worst feud currently running on Impact Wrestling, they’ve managed to keep the interferences to a minimum, and the storyline angles to post-match spots. That shows huge signs of growth from TNA. You can have all the drama – you can have as many baby-mama stories as you can cram into a ten minute slot. But when the time comes to actually play off the angle, they (almost) always do it in the ring.

But will any of that really matter here? Neither Styles nor Daniels will challenge for the World Championship at Bound for Glory. We’ll probably get match number 41 from the duo, and I guarantee you nobody will complain… Samoa Joe has an outside shot, but not a very good one. My money is on Kurt Angle vs. James Storm at No Surrender, with the winner taking the whole Series and going on to Bound for Glory to challenge for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Quick question though: what the hell are they hanging over the ring?

Prediction: Kurt Angle gets the victory
