WWE SmackdownOpening Segment

What I Liked:

It is always nice to see Edge back in a WWE ring, especially when it is a surprise. He talks about his show on SyFy, but I really enjoyed the interactions that he had with Daniel Bryan and Kane. Edge has had a long history with Kane, and I felt like all three guys did a great job in the ring together. Damien Sandow comes out and interrupts the hug, which I feel is a great way for some young heel to get over. I really do think he is going to be a big player in the WWE for a very long time. He has that old school heel mentality to him, simple and very basic, but he creates his character to be hated, not cheered like today's heels.

Grade: B+

Damien Sandow Defeats Kane

What I Liked:

This was a pretty decent match between two guys who have never fought one another before. Kane connects with his usual boot and side suplex, while Bryan looks on. As the match continues, Bryan ends up costing Kane the match by distracting him. Sandow gets a cheap win, but it is a win nonetheless against a really legit opponent.

What I Disliked:

There has to be some sort of offense from Sandow before the quick pin, and I felt like they were trying to protect Kane too much. Damien is best at being extremely aggressive, and he uses multiple knees to the stomach to really add to his arsenal. We really did not see his offense tonight, but I understand why. Sandow was just a piece in Kane/Bryan's storyline for tonight.
