 Wade Barrett - One Step Down
I don't expect every return to lead to something major right away, but I did with Wade Barrett. He should have come back, immediately gone over Randy Orton (in decisive fashion), and then challenged Sheamus.
I'm even helping Sheamus with that scenario.
I'm not going to follow suit and knock his finish just yet. The elbow is going to vary from time to time based on who's selling it, but it CAN be sold. It's really no different than a clothesline finisher, or even HBK's superkick. I simply don't think it's going to keep him from excelling.
A win streak isn't the only way to get over a new gimmick. Especially with a returning star like Barrett who doesn't need the wins to add credibility. Rather, he needs relevance.
By the way, do we even know who Sheamus' next challenger is yet?
