Title This: WWE Friday Night Smackdown Reaction 12-7

Damien SandowThe Stories

– Damien Sandow came and looked for an apprentice in the crowd. He grabbed a fan and brought him into the ring, which he missed the third question. Sandow, comically, sends him away and out comes The Miz. To a great reaction, Miz comes into the ring and bashes Sandow. He makes fun of his robe and ring gear. This pretty much sums up the segment, but I loved it. I think this could really help Sandow in the long run, but do we really think he and The Miz could put on a long feud? It would be comical and entertaining, but there has to be a reason for them to dislike one another. I want to see it get more personal, which I believe it will. I am very optimistic for this feud, and hopefully they do not blow it off at WWE TLC. Grade: B+

Daniel Bryan lost to The Big Show in a match that he struggled to garner any type of offense. Big Show started off by chopping down Bryan, striking him numerous times, and keeping him on the mat. Big Show punches an attempted dive to the outside by Bryan, and this is really all that happened. Bryan got a little bit of offense in when he began to kick the giant in the legs. The end of this slow and boring match saw The Shield come out and attack Daniel Bryan. Kane tries to save Bryan, but to no avail. Kane would get sent through a table, and The Shield stand tough. I really wanted to see Ryback come out, and chase off The Shield. He is the biggest piece in this feud, and should have been involved in some sort tonight. Instead, Kane and Bryan get torn apart and The Shield does not face their biggest threat. Grade: C

Antonio Cesaro and R-Truth cut a solid promo on each other. I really felt that this was going to be much better for the both of them. After multiple matches and tag team matches, both guys cannot really benefit in a 6 man tag or a tag team match. I felt the personal attacks here, felt the anticipation for another match, and really felt Cesaro thrived. He hasn't been exposed to a microphone too much and this was the perfect timing and length for him. Grade: B+
