WWE TLC 2012 – What Did & Did Not Bother Me

What Did NOT Bother Me: Dolph Ziggler Retains

Dolph winning last night was the only possible outcome in my mind, and luckily, WWE agreed. The match was very good and the live crowd made it that much better, especially for us internet geeks who love Ziggler. The real story begins now, and it's what scares me the most.

AJ is good, but I hope they keep this whole thing short, sweet, and simple.

If it were up to me, I would have went ahead and aligned AJ with Dolph right away. No explanations needed – just let her turn quickly and join Dolph so he can live up to his gimmick of "stealing the show AND your girlfriend". Why drag it out so much? It's becoming a pattern with AJ storylines and I'm afraid it will distract too much from where the focus needs to be: Dolph Ziggler and John Cena.

Otherwise, the match and the outcome was great. Dolph Ziggler is riding a huge wave right now and I've never felt stronger about a star's potential heading into a new year than I do his. Vince must feel the same as he didn't even take the bait he presented himself last night, putting Cena in a match with something major on the line.

I'm looking forward, with caution, to the follow-up tonight. Dolph has plenty to brag about after beating Cena, and what's even better is the fact that I'm not worried about that at all. Dolph continues to prove that he can talk as well. There's still some work to do in that department, but good material should overcome that pretty easily.

As long as AJ doesn't get in the way too much, I'll be happy to see Ziggler and Cena continue.
