Dolph Ziggler defeated John Cena in a Ladder Match. As we all know, the Money in the Bank briefcase was on the line in this main event of the night. I wonder if this would have ended the show if Ryback would have faced Punk. It still may have, but that is besides the point. The beginning of the match had an electric crowd behind Dolph Ziggler, who would be able to reverse a few of Cena's moves and gain the upper hand. The strength of Cena was on display when he climbed the ladder with Ziggler on his back. Ziggler came back hard and hit a shoulder block onto Cena, and the ladder was still in play. Cena would evetually try to hit an Attitude Adjustment, but Dolph reversed it into an absolutely beautiful DDT.
There was a spot that did not look amazing by any means, but Cena tried to give Dolph a Hurricanranna, and sent him through a table. Cena will never be the prettiest in any type of wrestling move, but he took a risk and it paid off in my eyes. Cena crushed Ziggler with a chair, and out came Vickie Guerrero. AJ Lee would make her way out and hit every single move of Cena's onto Vickie. Cena would head to the top, climb the ladder, and AJ would push the ladder over, as Ziggler hit a Super Kick on Cena. AJ and Dolph stare at one another, and AJ smiles and leaves. This was excellent in so many ways. You have Cena get screwed over, AJ continues to be unpredictable, and Ziggler has solidifed to the top. Ziggler would win, and all I could think of was "Welcome to the Main Event, Dolph Ziggler." John Cena and Dolph Ziggler, with an assist from AJ, made the night absolutely complete. Dolph should always be in the main event picture, even without a championship to boot. This night was so complete, and one of the best PPV's of the year.
