Alberto Del Rio wins the 6-Man Elimination match.
Del Rio teamed with Kane and Bryan to take on Big Show, Cody Rhodes, and Damien Sandow in the night's main event. I thought it was a very entertaining match that featured two of the matches on the PPV card. You cannot really hype Rock/Punk much more, and the Royal Rumble match itself needs no selling. The wrestling was really good here, especially the timing and technique out of Daniel Bryan. His fighting with Sandow was great, and you continued to see why Kane is such a great addition to him. I also thought that Cody looked really good here, with some unique moves like knees to the back of Bryan. You can just tell how mature he is getting in the ring. Overall, Kane and Bryan were eliminated to leave Del Rio with Show and Rhodes. Finally, Rhodes and Del Rio were the final ones, with Del Rio hitting a kick to the back of his head and picking up the win.
After the match, Big Show beat down Del Rio and threw the announcer's table on him. He counted to ten twice, once in Spanish. I really thought the ending made me want to watch these matches on Sunday. They did what they needed to do to put the spotlight on two matches rather than the other one's that we will WANT to see.
