The Main Event
Bully Ray and Sting defeated DOC and Devon in a Tables Match. With the two former masters of wood on opposite teams, I thought the match itself would be really intriguing. This would have been a great time to give Aces and Eights a big victory on a big stage. With only a few PPV's on the schedule this year, Impact Episodes will be bigger and more important on a weekly basis. We get the faces hitting a Stinger Splash into the corner, and DOC comes back with a boot to Bully's face. We get the usual teasing of the tables, and Mike Knox (yeah remember him) moves it from a big move to end the match. The match continues, but the faces finally take full control. Devon takes a spinebuster through a table, and the faces celebrate.
- My biggest issue with the match was the outcome. You have new members of the Aces and Eights, so why are they not helping? A tables match does not have disqualifications, so where was the backup? With the last show from Manchester, I understand they want the fans to leave happy. I just think that thought process is illogical. Where is the overall success for that when thinking long term? Now, a stable that should continuously win loses a big match after an even bigger week previously. Aces and Eights will always be just average until something HUGE happens. I doubt that it will ever happen though.
