Vince McMahon – One MAJOR Step Down
You know what made Jericho's "Highlight Reel" even more awkward and embarrassing than Vince McMahon reportedly thought it was? The ridiculous commentary Vince forced Cole and Lawler to lay on top of it.
If I were Jericho, Miz, Barrett, and even Brad Maddox, I'd be pissed right now. Like them, I probably wouldn't say anything to my boss about it, but I would certainly be cursing him behind his back!
You know what's funny and slightly ironic about it all? The part that made the segment so bad was the mandatory plugging of the bad movies both Miz and Barrett are involved in. I can only imagine what Jericho was thinking he when he had to put "The Marine 3-Too-Many" over with a straight face.
I hate that Maddox will likely get the bulk of the blame too. He never had a chance though as Cole and Lawler were already burying the entire segment before he made his way out to the stage. I doubt it hurts him in the long run, but I bet his "live mic" time is over for a while, or cut back drastically.
Vince McMahon has to be smart enough to know that NOTHING beneficial comes from stunts like this one. And you absolutely know he's smart enough because there's no way he would do it during a Cena or Rock promo. But the guys who need to be put over the most? They're fair game.
Out of the seven men involved with this entire thing, from Vince to Jericho to Lawler and Cole, there's only ONE person who should be embarrassed. Hint? It's not Jericho, Miz, Barrett, Maddox, Lawler, or Cole.
