The Shield defeated The Big Show, Randy Orton, and Sheamus
This was an interesting choice to start off the night. With all of the star power and the predictability of it being more than a wrestling match, I figure this would be a nice fit right around the second or third hour of the night. Nonetheless, Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose delivered in an entertaining match against three big names. Ambrose got a great pop and was extremely aggressive from the very beginning. He is a guy who continues to strike me as the next Bryan. He is so good at connecting on moves, transitioning to another move set, and keeps you wanting to see more from him. Reigns was also impressive to me for a few reasons. He is quick enough and athletic enough to not be used as just a body. He is more than just the size. At the end of the match, Big Show does not help Orton when he gets speared. He gets upset about the blind tag and then takes it out on Sheamus and Orton. So, WWE simply re-turned him heel? He never fully turned to a face and we all knew that. I enjoyed the action but did not like how Show overshadowed the rookies and their victory. They should have been the ones standing tall in the ring after it was all over.
