"If he's elevated like Ric Flair was with the Four Horsemen, The Shield could serve Dean Ambrose a purpose. I'm all for slow burn, I'm all for patience, but I want to see Dean Ambrose break out sooner not later. I want to see them stop wasting time with guys like Sheamus and guys like Orton. Guys who just can't cut the mustard."
On Ambrose being a modern day Brian Pillman:
"If he was a modern day Brian Pillman, he would have been in a couple car wrecks by now. I don't mean that lightly. Brian was one of my best friends and I miss him dearly, but Brian's off-screen madness really fueled the on-screen character. I think that's the difference between Ambrose and Pillman . If Ambrose tried to be like Pillman it would come off as somewhat artificial. I compare Ambrose more to Terry Funk, a more calculating hardcore heel."
