Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction 5-9-13

AJ StylesThe Storylines

-AJ Styles is confronted by Kurt Angle to kick off Impact Wrestling. Styles basically walks off and then comes to blows with Angle. Styles remains silent and basically is setting up a match with Angle at Slammiversary. Great idea. I love the fact that Styles is a heel, much like Jericho was when he said NOTHING. Let the crowd anticipate when he will say something, what he will say, and how he will say it. I actually think this idea will work out perfectly for someone who is so talented in the ring and does not need a voice to get over. He is already over big time. I cannot wait to see what his end game will be.

Grade: A-

-X-Division Champion Kenny King comes out and talks about his opponent, Chris Sabin. King cuts a pretty solid heel promo about Sabin and says he will not drop the strap to him. Sabin talks about his long road back to TNA. He gets a shot in on the champion, but King escapes without much more damage. It is just refreshing to see Sabin back. I think it is obvious that he will dethrone King at Slammiversary. The journey is complete with Sabin returning. It is a real and connecting story to watch. Once again, this is a positive step for TNA. Two stars in completely different parts of their career are squaring off. One is getting better and one has always been excellent in every facet.

Grade: B+
