The Main Event

The Shield defeated Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, and Sheamus. The main event was supposed to be Dean Ambrose vs. Kofi Kingston, but the other members of The Shield got involved. Orton and Sheamus came out to make the save. As the 6 man tag team match got started, it was all about pacing and timing. Orton and Sheamus would hit both of their big moves, but The Shield picked up the victory. Ambrose hit his finisher on Kingston for the victory.

-At the end of the match, Team Hell No came out to help the faces. This ended up having The Shield being laid out. I really enjoyed the ending of this show for a handful of reasons. First off, it builds The Shield even more, establishing their dominance in the WWE. They cannot suffer losses together and should never lose when in matches like this. Also, it gives Kane and Bryan a much needed boost. They will get their rematch, most likely at WWE Payback. They needed some serious tones in their characters and tonight was a big step up for them.

-Lastly, Orton and Sheamus do not get harmed for the loss. I feel like both guys have hit a plateau recently. I wonder what is next for them. Orton and Bryan defeat Swagger, so does this make Orton in line for a title match? I was happy about Del Rio NOT being on Smackdown. Did anyone really miss him tonight? This tells you something about their product and who is over and not over.
