CM Punk and Curtis Axel defeated Prime Time Players in tag team action on Raw. Punk and Axel had a little trouble grounding O'Neil, who is much more powerful than both men. Titus was able to hit a pump handle slam and tags out, then he suplexes Young onto Axel and he gets a near fall before he uppercuts Axel in the corner. I love the actual tag team thought process for PTP, even though we know they have been pushed down the card too much. I still have hope for them, but this night showed that they cannot be taken seriously. As the match progressed, Axel finally got a hot tag to Punk. Punk ended up hitting his finisher on Young, but Axel tagged in and picked up the pinfall victory for his team. I was happy about the ending because it continues the face turn of Punk, gives Axel and Punk beef with one another, and has Heyman right in the middle. With Brock out, Axel and Heyman are asked to carry the load with Punk. That is EXACTLY what Axel needs. I would've changed the fact that Axel was the weak link in the match, though. If they gave the match more time, you can have Punk struggle and need help. WWE wants Punk to look stronger and not needing help, so this makes sense.
Kaitlyn defeated Alicia Fox. I can honestly say that this is the most interested in a Divas storyline in quite some time. It may not say much because of how WWE has booked them, but I do think that AJ Lee deserves most of the credit. After the match, Kaitlyn gets bashed from Lee on the stage. She shows a picture of Kaitlyn being fat. It may not be the best idea, but at least they are giving the feud meaning and time.
