Isenberg and Killam Run Down the WWE Championship Money in the Bank Participants

Randy Orton

Isenberg: I feel that Randy Orton needs the briefcase more than anybody else in this match. Randy Orton has not been WWE Champion since 2010. Let me repeat that in a different way. It has been close to three years since he has been WWE Champion. We all hear the gripes with Orton over the past year or so and this would be perfect for him to get back on top. He is excellent in the ring, physical, but just lacks the overall personality that gives fans interest over a long period of time. He has done it all besides win the Money in the Bank. My official pick is Orton because he still has the star power that WWE needs.

Killam: Despite being one of the more popular pro wrestlers on the planet today, and despite being a former 9-time world champion and working his entire career for the WWE, Randy Orton has been relegated to random matches, one-off feuds and midcard filler spots at virtually every pay-per-view for the past two years. The last time he was actually on top of a show, it was Smackdown, and they were way more interested in helping along Christian and building Mark Henry, who at the time, had developed a new mean streak. Only Henry beat Orton for the world title, and is in the likely main event of tonight's pay-per-view; Orton is stuck competing for a chance to maybe, some day be relevant again. The Viper needs to win this more than most, and I wouldn't rule him out completely just because he's been so far off the radar in recent months.
