Number 10: Stone Cold vs. Kurt Angle at SummerSlam 2001
With the WCW/ECW Invasion heading right into the direction of the WWE, Stone Cold was a heel and was facing a guy that had the best technical ability in the ring. Kurt Angle and Stone Cold put on a clinic in so many ways in 2001 at SummerSlam. The pacing was superb and the physicality was excellent. I can remember Austin tapping into a new level of aggression by shoving Angle's head into the steps and post multiple times to cause blood. That was just another big piece of the match. Many may not love the ending, but it set up for Angle winning the WWE Championship a month later at Unforgiven in Pittsburgh, his hometown. This was a great match that told so many stories throughout.
