*Note: This edition of WWE Raw Reaction will be altered due to SummerSlam on Sunday. Instead of breaking down the matches and events of Raw, we will look at what each match at SummerSlam gained or lost this past Monday.
AJ Lee and Big E Langston vs. Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn took a big step backwards in my opinion tonight. Instead of having Big E Langston and AJ Lee pick up a win, they LOSE! I never would have seen this coming. WWE should have had Langston pick up Khali (As he and Natalya teamed up) and plant him with his finisher. Instead, we get a complete botched ending where the referee made a huge mistake. This was not planned and came off extremely poor. With veterans in the ring like Natalya, there is no reason for something this simple to happen. We had no interaction with AJ/E and Dolph/Kaitlyn tonight. Why not? Why didn't Ziggler possibly cost them the match instead of them losing clean to basically two jobbers? This made no sense to me.
Damien Sandow vs. Cody Rhodes to a step in the right direction. After an excellent bout between Sandow and Orton, Rhodes was able to get involved just enough. He distracted Sandow so Orton hit an RKO. Would I have liked to see Sandow pick up a big win? Absolutely, but this ending makes more sense for all of the parties involved. Sandow is starting to come into his own each week and continues to build his character outside of the diehard fans. Rhodes has the pedigree in his blood, which makes him much more easier to cheer. I expect this feud to continue after SummerSlam.
