Title This: WWE Raw Reaction September 10th, 2013

Randy OrtonThe Main Events

Randy Orton defeated Goldust and Cody Rhodes will remained unemployed. This was a really good match and deserves praise for it. They paced it perfectly for Goldust, who has not wrestled in the WWE in quite some time. When he got the upper hand, Orton rolled to the outside so they both can regroup. I loved when Goldust hit Cross Rhodes and nearly beat Orton. The only way Orton will lose is for interference. Instead, he finally finished off Goldust with an RKO. After the match, Stephanie mocked Goldust and his family. All this means is that Dusty is coming for them and the Rhodes/McMahon family feud is shaping up to be interesting.

Grade: B+

Daniel Bryan defeated Dean Ambrose in the main event of WWE Raw. This should not shock anybody when I say this was an excellent match. The crowd was into it from the very beginning. I noticed that Ambrose did not oversell many of his moves like he is accustomed to. I really thought the pacing was very fluent and that Bryan needed to look like the stronger one by the night's end. At the end of the match, Orton would come out and beat down Bryan. This would force Big Show's hand. Show stalled in hitting Daniel Bryan and Orton would take a running knee to his face. Daniel Bryan stood tall to end the night. Finally, WWE gives Bryan a break at the end of the show. The best thing they could've done is for Bryan to have some momentum heading into Night of Champions. Everyone wants to see him win, but he won't. This is NOT the right time for him to win. Keep building more pieces and make the payoff even bigger.
