RybackThe Storylines

Ryback defeated R-Truth in a Beat The Clock Challenge Match. Ryback picked up a victory in 5:44 seconds, which is the time for CM Punk to beat to get his stipulation at WWE Hell in a Cell. I have been a fan of this challenge for a while now. I understand it devalues the overall match, but I really think it makes matches more exciting to watch. Nobody would care for a Ryback vs. R-Truth match without this type of stipulation. The match was decent. Ryback overcame a few reversals from Truth and finally was able to hit Shell Shocked for the win.

Grade: C

CM Punk defeated Curtis Axel in a Beat The Clock Challenge Match. Punk picked up the victory in 5:33. He gets to pick the stipulation in his match. He makes it a Handicap Match against Ryback and Paul Heyman inside Hell in a Cell. This shows you everything you needed to see. Punk and Heyman is the feud people care about. Ryback could not face Punk again with no stipulation. This makes the match more interesting and makes it better with a character like Paul Heyman running from the man who wants to rip him apart. I think this has been the most consistent feud WWE has had. They always mix a few new pieces each week and rarely repeat one another. Punk looked very good in the ring with Axel. I wonder if WWE knows that this great feud is coming at the cost of Axel. He continues to be used incorrectly and does not even need the title. The title is useless, much like most of the roster WWE has.

Grade: B

-Triple H says they are going to take legal matters against Big Show. Yeah, this will work out just fine. Doesn't WWE do this time and time again? This storyline seems to recycle itself every year or two. They need to find a way where Triple H does not get cheered anymore. I love the King of Kings song because it is a heel song for Triple H. What else can he do to get booed from the crowd?
