Daniel BryanThe Main Events

Daniel Bryan loses to Alberto Del Rio by getting counted out. The match was excellent. Both men are so timely and so perfect with their strategic plans inside the ring. It was a battle of kicks. Bryan knows his strengths of kicking, while Del Rio has a similar style of attack. I have to say one thing about Del Rio: STOP SMACKING YOUR LEG AFTER EVERY SINGLE KICK. WE CAN SEE IT PLAIN AS DAY. YOU NEED TO WORK ON NOT LOOKING LIKE A COMPLETE JOKE.

The match ends when Orton is seen in the locker room with Brie and Nikki Bella. The door is shut and the girls scream. Daniel Bryan runs to the back and tries to save them. Orton attacks Bryan and lays him out. When you want a feud to pick up steam, there is nothing better than a realistic personal connection. Randy Orton found it and continues to use it for the better of his heel persona. I would love Daniel Bryan to cut a promo on Randy Orton and his divorce, children, etc. He needs to stoop to that low level to really get a shock value with the crowd. Now is the time to stop with the "Yes" and "No" chants. Let the crowd do them and Bryan needs to switch the mental flip. More aggression and more physicality needs to sell the Hell in a Cell match.

Grade: B

Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeated The Shield to win the WWE Tag Team Championships. This could be one of the best endings to Raw I have seen in a while. The match itself was fantastic, with all elements added. Rhodes and Goldust look to be in the best shape in their respected careers. Reigns continues to improve in the ring and has gotten to a point where his weaknesses are slowly becoming his strengths. His power was put on display in the match. We saw an incredible spear through the barricade, Dean Ambrose get involved, and Goldust using multiple chair shots. I really was impressed when Big Show came out and how the ending was executed. Reigns ducks a Beautiful Disaster only to get hit with the Knockout Punch. Cody goes for the pin and picks up the victory. Shield's reign as tag champs are over and it was the PERFECT TIME. The ending to Raw was great. Triple H came out furious and only fueled more hatred between himself and Big Show. We, for the first time, saw vulnerability in Reigns and Rollins. The finish was open-ended as well. Rhodes and Goldust holds the gold and we know Shield will get a rematch. Will it be a 6 man tag with Show? Trying to get his job back? At Hell in a Cell? I would be on board with that.

Grade: A

WWE Raw Grade: B-…. It was very top heavy. The bottom of the card shows you how incomplete this roster currently is.
