GUNNER & JAMES STORM (c) vs. TBA
Mike Killam: I like the idea of a pre-show gauntlet. I kind of wish it was on the main card, because they only have SIX ANNOUNCED MATCHES as of right now, but at least it gives me a reason to turn on Spike TV an hour before the show and watch something while I get dinner going. I have to believe, if TNA has any desire to boost the tag team division, that either Bad Influence will win the belts (wearing their shirt tonight in support), or they will stay with Storm and Gunner. That isn't a popular attitude (the later, not the former) but I like the redneck duo. If they were more consistently on TNA programming, and wore my suits (ala Beer Money or Forture) I would care more.
Coco: It's gotta be Kaz and Daniels, right? I mean even after releasing that Dixie shirt this week, I refuse to believe TNA is so tone deaf that they'd give this spot to Super Mex and Chavo. I have faith that TNA isn't pure, unrelenting evil. So I'll take the optimistic view. Kaz and Daniels win the gauntlet and pick up the titles. Christopher Daniels has become more charismatic than The Rock. We can't ignore it forever, right? …Right?!
Rated R Nightmare: Oh how the mighty have fallen. James Storm looked set to get a world title run shorty after last years Bound For Glory and now he's part of an irrelevant tag team who most likely lose their belts here. As for who faces them I'll go with Bad Influence since EGO is on such a roll right now. Chavo and Hernandez have a shot but they haven't been featured nearly as much lately so I'm thinking they come up short.
klunderbunker: I'll go with Hernandez/Chavo Guerrero to win the gauntlet match because TNA wants to bore us to death with their tag matches. I'm surprised Bischoff/Knux aren't in the gauntlet as well as it would seem to be the perfect spot for someone like them. Gunner and Storm should keep the belts, but they haven't done a thing with them yet. That's not their fault though as they're stuck with no good teams to defend against.
