KURT ANGLE vs. BOBBY ROODE
Mike Killam: For my money, this is probably going to be match of the night. There's a lot of faith being put in the X-Division match, but with five guys I don't expect anything more than a really fun clusterf**k. Angle/Roode will be, and has been for historical reference, a classic wrestling contest. I have to believe TNA will give Kurt the big win for his return. That being said, they should put Roode over in a major way. Kurt won two years ago at Bound for Glory, and since then Roode has gone on to become the longest reigning champion in company history. It's time to turn the page. Bobby gets the win here, and they set up a big rematch/tie-breaker on television.
klunderbunker: There is zero reason for Angle to win this match. He's going into the Hall of Fame so it's clear that he's accomplished enough already, whereas Roode is someone that could be a big deal in TNA in the future. On top of that, what does it say to have Angle win? Go out and break the law while making the company look bad and get a win at the biggest show of the year in your first match back? Angle can win a match in the feud later but the first should go to Roode.
TAFKAMDDFA: Very skeptical. Once again Roode should win this for the interest of stories and the company going forward. He'll be more of a key player than Angle in the future and this is a time where TNA can consign that confidence in him. He's tried, tested and proven. His reign was perhaps the most luminous period since I began watching TNA in 2009 and he fully demonstrated that he is a top guy through-and-through.
