Ken Anderson defeated Knux in a quick bout that kicked off Impact Wrestling. Anderson talks about Bully Ray and how he wants to get rid of the Aces and Eights. Anderson says if he beats Ray next week, Aces and Eights are gone. If Anderson loses, he will leave Impact Wrestling for good. Well, it looks like the end of the stable is coming. I cannot see Anderson, who we all know re-signed a contract, leave TNA. It is about time that this once powerful group is disbanded. They need to step away and let Anderson and Ray compete at a higher level than they have been recently.
Christopher Daniels defeated Joseph Park. Park takes the early control of the match and hits a few nice moves onto Daniels. He hits a Samoan Drop, scoop slam, and a splash into the corner. Without the referee looking, Daniels hits a low blow and steals a victory over Park. Cheap heat and a heel-ish win for Daniels. I can understand it.
Ethan Carter III defeated two jobbers. This is nothing like the push of Ryback because Carter seems to have a little bit of trouble each week against much lesser talent. I do not know if this is good or bad for him. I have already been on record saying that Carter desperately needs to find a real feud before he gets boring and predictable. He may have already gotten there.
Gail Kim defeated Hannah Blossom. This was the first match in a while that Kim did not need to have Tapa help her win. Kim picks up a quick victory after hitting Eat Defeat. I am all for stroylines and building a feud. Where is Kim's feud? Where is her next challenger and who will step up? I look at this depleted roster and think that the only person that could do that is potentially a Velvet Sky. We have seen it before and maybe need to get more of just a sample size. Kim is talented in the ring and she could easily make a feud with a solid character like Sky work.
