Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction November 15th, 2013
The Wyatt Family defeated The Uso's to start WWE Smackdown. I like that WWE decided to start The Wyatt Family on Smackdown. They are finding a solid balance to really place them anywhere in the card and make them thrive. This was a solid tag team match between the four men. Jimmy and Jey quickened the pace multiple times only to be stopped dead in their tracks. If you did not already know, Luke Harper is so much more advanced in the ring and with his character than Erick Rowan is. Rowan has some appeal, but his lack of aggression and the connection of moves is poor. Harper hits a diving lariat for the win. Bray comes in and cleans up the mess. He also cuts a creepy and quick promo telling Punk and Bryan to run away.
Natalya defeated Tamina Snuka. A quick bout saw two divas try to maintain relevancy in a rather irrelevant Divas division. I would prefer Total Divas and the WWE Divas Championship be separate stories. Have one on Raw and one on Smackdown so we are not forced with matches like this every single week. For more of my thoughts on the entire division and how to solve it, check out my latest segment for Chair Shot Reality.
Prime Time Players and R-Truth defeated The Union Jacks.
Alright, WWE, it is time to get rid of this 3MB gimmick and find something useful for these guys. They desperately need to utilize a talent like McIntyre in the mid card division. He had more credibility as IC Champion over Axel, Barrett and others. Prime Time Players seem to be stuck in a lower card feud consistently and have no chance to crack the top of the tag team division. I feel like the ship has sailed for them. WWE should repackage McIntyre, Slater, and R-Truth to really get something meaningful out of them. These three guys are actually really good and could be used to fill out a middle of the card Pay Per View.
The Great Khali squashes Hunico and Camacho. Who knew they were actually traveling with WWE? I sure did not. I took a pee break and grabbed a snack and it was over. I know there was nothing to miss.
The Funkadactlys defeated The Bella Twins. This is an issue. Smackdown lacks talent, as I said with previous guys above, so they have to add TWO divas matches in a two hour show. I really think Naomi is extremely athletic and has a bright future in WWE. She has the look and the skill, hopefully she will get better as time progresses. I cannot see why she wouldn't. The Bella Twins keep up and actually control most of this match before they fall to the faces.
