Some will argue that Axel should be higher up on this list. The year of 2013 was a huge rise and then a huge fall for Curtis Axel. He was paired with Paul Heyman, worked with Punk and was able to really establish himself as a legit player. That was until everyone realized that there is not much else about him aside from his above-average ring work. He rose in 2013, but seemed to have fallen faster. Without Paul Heyman, I am not sure people really care about Curtis Axel. A good guy with a good skill set in the ring. That is all we can say about Axel in 2013.
