We answer your questions! Why? Boredom, mostly…

Marc Lowe asks, “What’s the follow up once Cena wins? Daniel Bryan? Cena heel as Triple H’s face of the WWE?”

I answered the Heel-Cena question a bit in my “This Week in WWE” section, but the more I think about it, the more I question myself. If WWE wanted to pull a swerve at tonight’s TLC PPV, Cena turning feels “right”. It might not be “right” for Randy Orton, but for the company in general, I think it might be the “right” call for the future. I have no clue where WWE goes after the TLC match, and I’m not even sure that Cena will win at all. I guess the “boring” result is Orton wins and The Authority carries on with their shtick. Somebody needs to cement themselves in a role, and stick with it though.

Hands of HHH asks, “If you had to predict the major championship match at WrestleMania right now, who’d be your prediction?”

Good question, as we’re drawing pretty close to the Road to WrestleMania, which will of course kick off next month at the Royal Rumble PPV. Seems to me like with one unified world title, the winner of the Rumble becomes a lot more important. There will probably be less risks taken with that, and with Money in the Bank, if the briefcase gimmick even sticks around. Of course, that’s assuming we get ONE champion going into April. As for your question, I thought it was going to be Randy Orton vs. John Cena, doing pretty much what they’ll be doing tonight at TLC. I got the prediction right, they just jumped the gun by about four months. It’s impossible to guess not knowing who walks out as champion at TLC, but if I had to take a shot in the dark, I’ll put my money down on John Cena vs. CM Punk.

Fred M. asks, “What would make you more interested in TNA in 2014?”

Do something I haven’t seen a thousand times. Figure out what made 2012 so specical (I’ll give you a hint, it was Bobby Roode) and work from there. Get rid of the excess baggage in the company, take Dixie Carter off television, no more crazy gimmicks (Feast or Fired, “Option C”, etc.), and focus on the week-to-week product. Good wrestling, interesting stories. Keep it simple. Doing any of these things would make 2014 a better year than 2013.

Mike C. Chuckles asks, “What was your favorite match of this year?”

I’ll be doing an awards edition of this newsletter before the end of the year. Stay tuned. Also, what kind of name is Mike C. Chuckles?

Gareth Endacott asks, “What belt are they going to use [after TLC]? As the WWE title is still new?”

I guarantee they will end up just using the WWE Championship. The point is to find “one unified WWE Champion” so I can’t imagine the “big gold belt” will be of much use. There’s no way they go create a new one so soon. WWE loves giving that thing out to celebrities and athletes, and try and get their title in the media as much as humanly possible. Plus, they have a giant hard-on for The Rock, who debuted the belt, so I doubt very much if we get a new design in the next 40-88 years.

Anonymous asks, “Is Wrestlezone having another party in New Orleans for WrestleMania next year?”

I have no clue. I would assume that something will go down in New Orleans, as there generally is some sort of gathering under the Wrestlezone name. Keep checking back, especially in the early parts of 2014. Ask Justin LaBar also, as he’d probably be the guy to head it up. If we’re not doing something, I can almost guarantee Dave Herro will, and he’s a guy you should support.
