The Undercard Part Two

WWE Raw ReactionAJ Lee and Tamina defeated Cameron and Naomi. This was an average match between the Divas tonight. I enjoyed the fact that it was not 8 women in the ring wrestling and somehow a Diva picks up a win randomly. We have seen way too many of those matches in the past. I really have been a fan of the reign of AJ Lee, but now is the time to have her help build someone. Lee is such a polarizing Diva in the locker room and inside the ring. I really hope Naomi gets a chance to become a contender for the title. Maybe, just maybe, WWE will stick with one or two Divas for more than a month. It would be nice to see.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio. In an entertaining match, Mysterio takes the loss against Del Rio. A match with two guys with similar heritages, I tend to think this could actually be a good build for Elimination Chamber or even a match at Mania, if it can fit on the card. Neither guy needs or should be in the world championship picture. Neither guy needs to face Big E or Dean Ambrose for a mid card title. They could bank in on the Latin demographic and make these guys have a great bout at WrestleMania. There is no doubt that they can wrestle. There is a doubt they can build an interesting story heading into the biggest event of the year. With my wishful thinking, the match took a turn when Del Rio tripped up Mysterio with a tree of woe and forced him into submission. I will say one thing: DO NOT GIVE US DEL RIO VS. BATISTA. WWE can tease the Del Rio and Batista, but this would make me tune out immediately. Is this the best answer you have for him right now, facing a guy who couldn't get over to save his life?

Score: 6/10

Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel in tag team action. Another solid outing from the champions, who seem to be clicking on all cylinders. Cody and Goldust have this connection with one another in the ring where they feed off of the others' weakness. When one man gets down, the other will come in with even more energy. It is such a treat to watch two extremely gifted professionals work a match in such sync. Speaking of sync, can we stop the Axel/Ryback tag team please? If you wanted them to be relevant and a threat to the titles, you make them WIN matches.

Score: 7/10
