The Wyatt Family defeated Rey Mysterio and The Brotherhood in 6-man tag team action. The story of this match was how Goldust was the weak link throughout the match. It took him so long to make a hot tag. When he did, the action picked up when Cody Rhodes cleared the ring. Rey Mysterio came in and hit a 619 onto Luke Harper. Cody flew to the outside, while Goldust did a flip off the apron onto Rowan. Rey set up another 619 and connected, but Bray tagged himself in and hit an incredible Sister Abigail for the win.
Why Bray Wyatt Will Thrive
Bray Wyatt has such a unique and dynamic character. He is a guy who is so naturally talented inside and outside of the ring. The character he plays each week is a perfect balance between old school and modern professional wrestling. He has so many pieces to him that we have yet to see. He can wrestle with the best of them, even if he does not have the prototypical build. The guy shines in every way on every show. He has yet to let us down and his evolution continues with the feud with The Shield. Next stop: John Cena?
Fandango defeated Santino Marella. This is a perfect time to realize that Emma and Summer Rae are more important than these two guys. Why? They showed a video clip of them from a week ago. There is no meaning, no interest or no relevance between the males of the story. Who is going to be better in the long run: Emma or Summer Rae? I see Summer Rae like a Michelle McCool, with her build and natural athleticism. I can see Emma being more of a Mickie James, someone who is a good wrestler but is best when really develops her character from week to week.
Sheamus and Christian defeated The Real Americans in a FANTASTIC tag team match. I was skeptical to see Sheamus and Christian team together. There is really no common ground between the two. The story of the match was Sheamus vs. Antonio Cesaro. WOW! This was scripted to perfection between two brawlers who will be extremely physical during the Elimination Chamber match. They really could be two guys that steal the show in the hellacious match. The end of this match, however, came when Sheamus was able to duck Swagger and hit a Brogue Kick for the win. I would rather see The Real Americans, a "real" tag team, pick up the win here, but Sheamus needs to build up victories until WWE decides what to do with him at WrestleMania.
Dolph Ziggler lost to Alberto Del Rio in quick fashion. Two minutes and it was over. Ridiculous way to book a talent like Ziggler. Please save him and pair him with The Miz to form a tag team. It is the only solution right now. Thankfully Batista saved this segment by coming out and attacking Del Rio. He would hit a Batista Bomb through the announce table and walk out. Batista is not going to wrestle until Elimination Chamber, so this is the logical and easiest way to keep him seen. We need to see retaliation from Del Rio next week, so there is SOME sort of drama and interest in their match in Minneapolis.
