Stars in Progress: “This Is Awesome”, Austin Talks Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Orton Needs A Win This Sunday

How long do you think it will take before Titus O'Neil becomes simply "TITUS"? My guess…by the time Voice of Wrestling returns THIS Monday, live before RAW, with myself, Nick Paglino, and Kevin Kelly!

How do you spell "Incredible Wrestling Show", Renee?

Stars in progress, without further delay:

stars in progressRandy Orton – One Step Down

How long has it been since Randy Orton acted, sounded, or wrestled like a World Heavyweight Champion? Some might argue he's never been positioned as a true main-event player, but I'd disagree.

Even I can't defend him right now though. He's not even an afterthought in the fans' eyes; he's like no thought at all.

Should WWE take 'Elimination Chamber' this Sunday as an opportunity to simply move on from Orton? Put the title on Cena or Bryan — two people the fans at least care to watch? Or should they give Orton a MUCH needed win and an ounce of credibility that might follow?

I vote the latter. Cena and Bryan can manage without the title; Orton disappears from relevance once it's gone.

During a time in the business where "year round" star power is at an all-time low, WWE really can't afford to lose those that are already established. Orton already has years of main event experience under his belt. He just needs to be taken seriously by Creative, thus giving fans a reason to take him serious.

It's been the complete opposite though lately. The Authority, who I never know whether to hate or love on any given week, are at least consistent with how they treat Orton: a joke..they treat him like an absolute joke.

I'm an Orton fan, but even I must admit that this particular title run has to be considered one of the worst in recent memory. At least as far as "his" career is concerned. He's the title holder, but the focus is on everyone BUT him.

A win this Sunday would at least be a good start for turning Orton's reign around, but I have little confidence it would be followed up with any real commitment. So maybe it's a "Why bother?" situation anyway.

Screw it…give the win to Christian!
